Remote Control

The V+ Run-Time System provides a remote control feature available in build 159 and later.   This remote control system is based on the TCP/IP protocol, and enables a client to connect to the shell to control the operation of certain functions.

For example, a client computer can connect to a server computer running V+, and start, stop, and load .VNE files via the network.   See the specification below for more information.

This remote control system is intended for use by automated processes (host computer) to control the operation of V+.

A Windows application is provided below in source form (zipped file) that also illustrates the use of the interface.  Note that the executable for the application is also provided in the Build 159 and later of V+.

The remote control specification is available in Word 2000 that specifies the interface located here.
