FAA Orders Audio System for B-747-400 Trainer

2/2/2004

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has installed a 32-channel SMx Audio System for their B-747 trainer in FAA's William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City, New Jersey. In addition to the Communications audio system, the FAA procured and participated in a 3-Day V+ Training Class at their facility to further utilize and expand the capabilities of their SMx unit.

More SMx audio systems will follow with additional support software purchased:

  • V+ Development License

  • GL Studio Interface for V+

  • V+ Interface for Microsoft Flight Simulator

The engineers at FAA have created V+ application designs, and will tailor their SMx system to meet their current and continuing communication needs.
