SimPhonics recently installed an SMx Aural Cue and multiple ATIS sound system for Sonda Aviation Enterprises Limited (SONDA). The audio system was installed on Gulf Air’s A320 Airbus Full Flight Simulator at Gulf Air’s training facility in Doha, Qatar.
The Gulf Air A320 fleet of aircraft are being upgraded to reflect the aircraft modification standard. Certification of Gulf Air training was previously carried out by the FAA. This has now been transferred to the UK CAA for all of their aircraft. This change requires a change in the certification of the simulators from AC120-40B, Level D to JAR STD-1A, Level D.
