VComm Force Stereo TX

ID:  2060

Object Description

The VComm Force Stereo TX object can be used in conjunction with VComm Radio Objects to force both the left and right channels of an audio device to be transmitted on a radio when its PTT pin is engaged. Normally, if this object is not attached or enabled, the radio will transmit audio from a single channel, which is usually the left or right side of an audio device such as a sound card, USB headset, etc. For example, if two headsets were attached to the left and right side of a stereo device, and it was desired that both headsets transmit regardless of which PTT was active, then this object would be used.

More about Devices and Channels:

To use the object, simply connect the output handle of a radio/intercom object to the radio handle input of this object. The data collected on the input pin is sent to the radio/intercom object and can be changed while V+ is running.

Input Pins

H

Radio handle from either the VComm GENERIC Radio, V8 DIS Only, VComm GENERIC Radio, V8 DIS/HLA, or VComm Simple Intercom (DIS/HLA) objects.

ENABLE

The ENABLE pin enables the object to provide the connection to the adjacent device channel. A value of 0 disables it. Any non-zero value enables it.

Example

The figure below presents an example of how the VComm Force Stereo TX object is used. In this example, the radio's channel is set to 1 and the VComm Force Stereo TX object is enabled. This will allow the audio input from both channels of the stereo device to be transmitted when the PTT pin is engaged.
