VComm Get Strongest Transmitter ID

Object Description

The VComm Get Strongest Transmitter ID object can be used in conjunction with VComm Radio Objects. It is a VComm monitoring object which attaches to a VComm radio so as to observe the DIS ID information of the strongest incoming transmitter.

To use the object, simply connect the radio handle output of a radio object to the radio handle input of this object. The output pins can be connected to anything accepting floating point input (such as an output port or a No Connection object).

Input Pin

H

This input pin determines which radio is monitored by this object. This pin should be connected to the radio handle output pin of the radio object to be controlled.

SITE

DIS Site ID of the strongest transmitter.

HOST

DIS Host ID of the strongest transmitter.

ENTITY

DIS Entity ID of the strongest transmitter.

RADIO

DIS Radio ID of the strongest transmitter.

Example

The figure below presents an example of how the VComm Get Strongest Transmitter ID object is used with a VComm GENERIC Radio, V8 DIS Only object. The stringest transmitter being received by this example's radio has a DIS ID of 1/2/3/5.
